The Yankees make history -- and not at all in a good way. Their 22-0 loss to Cleveland is the largest loss in franchise history.
The previous record was 18 runs in losses in a 19-1 game against Detroit in 1925 and 24-6 against Cleveland in 1928. And the previous record for a shutout was 15-0 against the White Sox in 1950.
I'm sure I'll have to hear from Aaron about this tomorrow. Ugh.

What the HECK??!!! I'm sorry, but I had to look out the window to make sure that dogs and cats weren't running away together (to quote Ghostbusters...heh heh Get it?!) The Yankees just DO NOT get beat like that?
But since they did....I admit that I laughed my ass off. Part of me doesn't care what happens next. Seeing the Ghosts NOT show up and then curse their own team was more than worth the proverbial price of admission.
It's a good day to be a Sox fan. :)
Sorry Chris but I have to comment this time! What was up with that?? Dan and I laughed our heads off! Trust me we know George will just go out spend spend spend to fix what ever is wrong with the Yankees but as a Sox fan we are going to enjoy it for the day.
