Fred McGriff worked out with the Yankees today, three days after Tampa Bay released him. The Crime Dog is seven homers shy of 500, and the Yanks might give him a chance to hit that mark depending on Jason Giambi's test results.
Meanwhile, the Randy Johnson watch continues. Apparently, the Big Unit nixed a trade to the Dodgers and said it's the Yankees or nothing.
