Doughnut delight

I came home from work today to find a pleasant surprise sitting on the kitchen counter—a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts!

Our friend Ray was in Syracuse on business. The city is now home to the closest Krispy Kreme shop to us. Apparently they were having a buy one dozen, get a dozen free sale.

As a fellow Krispy Kreme fan, Ray was as heartbroken as me over the closing of the Latham store. So he picked up a dozen for his family and a dozen for us. Thanks, Ray!

After eating some doughnuts for dessert, Thomas lifted his shirt and proclaimed, "My tummy's full of doughnut!"

Am I coming across sounding a little too much like Homer Simpson with this recent doughnut obsession? Any similarity between the picture of me in the header of this blog and this image used promote the season 6 DVDs of “The Simpsons” is purely coincidental.
